Good Sleep Guide
The CSP has produced some useful tips on how to achieve the perfect night’s sleep……
Exercise – Regular 20 minutes by 3 times a week exercise can help to improve sleep patterns, but avoid late night exercise.
Pillows – Your neck should be supported in the mid line position whether you are on your back or side
Stress – Stress can stiffen muscles making it more difficult to unwind and relax
Mattress – Test new mattresses by lying on them for at least 20 minutes before you buy. A mixture of comfort & support is recommended.
Temperature – In hot weather wear light bed clothing, but keep covered with a light duvet or sheet. Open the window if needed, keep a bowl of ice with a desk fan running behind to keep cool. In cold weather avoid draughts which could lead to stiffness & dysfunction.
